One of the hot topics in Nigeria these days is about Starting an Online Information business. But the usual questions asked are; Is it worth it? How much does it cost to setup? How long does it take?To find out the answers to these questions, You have to follow me slowly and read this post to the end.I have been in the online business for over 5 years now,So I decided to answer these questions by sharing my story.In 2015, Having finished my NYSC and searching for a job,I decided to set up an info product business for myself whiles waiting for the typical 9-5. I fancied owning a digital product business because it doesn’t require me paying for a shop,

leaving my house to attend to customers or a huge capital to set it upAll I needed was my laptop, MS word and Data. So I thought. However, from experience I realised that to set up a profitable information product business a minimum estimated capital of N50k is needed. But I wasn’t discouraged by this fact. I remember one of my favorite search words on google then was ”How to Create an Information product that people are willing to pay for”Each time I did that, a lot of information popped up, some I had to fill in my email address to access, Some I downloaded.

While consuming these contents.. Something strange happened…The more I studied these contents the more confused I became because everyone was saying they had the best course!! Phew!!! I got tired and started suffering from information overload.Confusion set in and along with it frustration because I didn’t know what else to do. To worsen my situation, each time I opened my email,

I saw messages from numerous marketers using their emails to mesmerise me. Before I could make up my mind on getting one, another course with a crazy offer is up on my face. I couldn’t afford all of them.

(Even though I wished to because the offers were irresistible)Being an ardent believer of the saying “In doubt do not act” I didn’t buy any of the courses.I continued searching until it led me to a book on Leverage by Gerald Krefetz Using what I learnt in the book, I changed my focus to searching for a trusted and reputable online marketing coach who has a track record of success in the online space A lot of names came up.. but the one that struck a chord in me was that of Mr Czar I discovered that Mr Czar has sold thousands of products online, helped hundreds of business people around Africa improve their marketing. He is also the founder of Double Your profits Academy with over 17000+ members and a proven track record of delivering value. So I decided to join one of his inner circle program.I implemented all that was taught and within a month, I had an information product business that was paying my bills.The gains I made from the business made me realise I never needed to work for anybody again.
